Make Up Review and Comparison : NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in "Bangkok" vs Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm "Complexe" vs Make Over Ultra Shine Lipstick "Peach Vaganza"
Hi !
Right
now i'm going to post a review and comparison between NARS Pure Matte
Lipstick in "Bangkok" VS Revlon Colorburst Matte
Balm Lipstick VS Make Over Ultra Shine Lipstick "Peach Vaganza".
I'm so in love with their peachy shades colours, and their textures. They
doesn't dry my lips and also gives natural results. As you can see, the
lipsticks that i will review here, came from different price range. The price
range of NARS lipsticks, starts from 26$ to 40 ish $. Revlon Lipstick price
range starts from 7$ to 20 $, while Make Over Lipsticks has the same price
range as Revlon Lipsticks.
What
i want to tell you here is that, you don't need to buy an expensive lipstick to
have a beautiful peachy coloured lips. All you have to do is to find the best
and the right dupe that matched your desired colour. NARS lipstick has a
fairly expensive price. While Revlon and Make Over lipsticks are more
affordable. But.. wait.. what about the quality? .
Basically,
the colours are pretty much the same. But the final results are slightly
different. Between 3 lipsticks that i review here, NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in
"Bangkok" is the most expensive. But i'm actually a little bit
disappointed with the result. The colour is so different with the
bullet. It is almost transparent and sheer, and you will notice some
separation. And the final result is not peach coloured, but more of a pink
colour instead. Fortunately, The formula is pretty good, it doesn't dry
the lips. I think this lipstick is best worn with a lip primer or some foundation
over the lips before application, so the real colour will be more visible.
The
Revlon Colourbust Matte is less expensive than NARS. The Colour is quite
visible, you don’t have to wear any lip primer or foundation underneath the
lipstick (unless you have a dark lips, then you’ll need one). This shade comes
practically just the same as it looks in the bullet, and it is also tends to
make your face looks pale. So you have to wear enough make up such as Blush,
Bronzer and Eyeshadow to brighten your look. When you wear this lipstick, you
will also notice the minty feelings on your lips. For me, I really enjoy it so
it doesn’t bother me at all. And this lipstick also moisturized your lips. The
colour results of this lipstick is pale peach and matte. The coveage is
good, but it doesn’t lasts very well through eating and drinking.
The
last one is Make Over Ultra Shine Lipstick in Peach Vaganza. This shade comes
off a bit brighter and lighter on the lips than how it shows in the bullet,
with touch of pink-ish peach shade. It feels like a thick balm, not slippery
like moisturizing lipstick formulas and it doesn’t dry my lips. The coverage is
very good, but it doesn’t lasts very well through eating and drinking. The
formula is really thick so you’ll need one coat to get a nice covering colour.
Even though the product is thick, you don’t have to worry because it’s really
lightweight and you won’t feel it on your lips.
Conclusion :
Among these three products, my most favorite is Make Over Ultra
Shine lipstick in “Peach Vaganza” (this one is my ultimate holy grail product),
and my least favorite is NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in “Bangkok”.
Why:
Because,
Make Over Lipstick has the best coverage and the colour payoff is really good
on my lips. And it doesn’t dry my lips at all. And I think this one is the best
dupe of NARS Pure Matte Lipstick in Bangkok, because the colour is almost
similar, with better quality.
